We have one more talented person that makes us proud to be Indonesian. Lala! Skarmela Kartodirdjo is an Indonesian descent singer who now lives with her grandmother and other relatives in Philipina.
Lala has been nominated for "Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist" and "Best Peformance by a Duet" (with Christian Bautista) in this year's prestigious Philippine 21st Awit Awards. Lala duet with Christian Bautista entitled "Unsaid"
Christian, via a press statement, noted of Lala: "She’s very talented and she has a great international sound. She will go places for sure. It’s great working with her."
"I find it a real honor to sing with Christian since he is very famous in Indonesia. 'Unsaid' is a real tearjerker of a ballad but full of hope and promise." Said Lala.
