Adult film actress, Sunny Leone has become a household name in India owing to her induction into the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.

By now, we all know that she is a star in the adult film industry and is an Indian born Canadian. While Sunny Leone may register as just another porn star, there are certain interesting facts about her. Here are 10 things you ought to know about Sunny Leone.

1. She was studying to be a pediatric nurse in Orange County before she was introduced to Jay Allen, a photographer for Penthouse magazine. There was obviously no looking back after she was named Penthouse Pet of the Month in March 2001.

2. When Leone signed her first contract for working in pornographic films, she maintained that she would only perform with women.

3. She made a guest appearance in the 2004 teen flick ‘The Girl Next Door’.

4. In 2004, she was part of ‘No More Bush Girls’, in which she and several other popular porn actresses including Angel Cassidy, Lisa Boyle shaved off their pubic hair in support of the anti-Bush campaign.

5. She was reportedly enrolled in a Catholic school because her parents thought it would be unsafe for her to go to a public school due to her Sikh upbringing.

6. Her first real job was at a German Bakery, when she was 15 years of age.

7. In 2005, Leone made her first mainstream appearance. She was the red carpet reporter for the MTV Awards on MTV India.

8. Her second movie, titled ‘Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone’, fetched her her first AVN Award, which is considered to be the “Oscars of porn.”

9. In 2010, she was adjudged as one of the 12 top female stars in porn by leading men’s magazine, Maxim.

10. Leone was engaged to Matt Erikson, a vice-president of marketing at the famous Playboy Enterprises. The duo has broken up now, but both are, reportedly, great friends in spite of it.

Porn star Sunny Leone to be cast in Mahesh Bhatt’s Blue Film?

Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone has apparently bagged Mahesh Bhatt’s forthcoming project Blue Film. The project was kept on hold for a long time. However, Mahesh Bhatt has reportedly decided to revive the Blue Film. Leone will be cast opposite Bhatt’s son Rahul Bhatt.

Mahesh Bhatt had apparently decided to launch his son Rahul Bhatt with Blue Film. He had reportedly approached Sunny Leone back then. However, things did not work out in his favour and Bhatt had to put the project in the backburner. As per sources, Mahesh Bhatt has now decided to make certain changes in the script of Blue Film by making it a murder thriller. The film will be the next installment in the Murder franchise and will be titled Murder 3. The buzz doing the rounds is that there will be a lot of adult and sexual content in the film.

Rahul has so far not been able to hog much limelight apart from a short stint in the Bigg Boss. He was then soon surrounded by allegations of his links with the terror agent David Headley.

Rahul Bhatt now plans to start his career afresh with his dad’s film with porn star Sunny Leone. Well, all we can say is that Mallika Sherawat will find a strong competitor in Sunny Leone. What say guys

Sunny Leone's Salman Khan connection! : Bigg Boss 5

The news of a porn star, Sunny Leone, entering into the infamous house of Bigg Boss is causing quite a flutter in the entertainment industry. Though everyone is waiting for Sunny to raise the temperature of the otherwise lackluster and no sleaze show, model-turned-actor Payal Rohatgi has a different observation to make.

She tweeted about the porn star recently, her tweet read, “Doesn`t Zarine Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunny Leone look alike? All British imports in our country”.

Well, more than the looks, it seems that the connecting link between the three ladies is actor Salman Khan. Where Salman launched good friend Katrina Kaif into Bollywood and later became mentor to Katrina look-alike Zarine Khan. He, now, seems to be on the wish list of Sunny Leone. The porn star has expressed her desire to work with ‘Dabangg’ Khan who is interestingly the co-host of Bigg Boss 5 as well.  

So, will we be seeing Salman Khan working in a porn film with Leone or will it be a Bollywood debut for the porn star is yet a mystery for all of us.

But, her stint on Bigg Boss tonight will be enough to gauge her acting skills.

Excited to entertain India: Sunny Leone

She was born Karen Malhotra but is proud of her "alter ego" -- that of world-famous porn star Sunny Leone. In India to participate in Bigg Boss 5, the Indo-Canadian says she is not just upbeat about spicing up the controversial reality show, but also about entertaining her Indian fans for the for the first time.

 
"I've been to India a few times. I was here in February and again came in May 2008... so I have been visiting the country on and off. But this is my first time here as an entertainer and I'm looking forward to a positive feedback from all my lovely fans," Leone told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
The 30-year-old, who landed in Mumbai Thursday night, will enter the Bigg Boss 5 house on Saturday night. But her entry will be shown on Colors channel Monday. Surprising, as it may seem, Leone claims she has been following this season of the show ever since it started.
"I've been seeing this show, episode by episode since Oct 2! It's really exciting, so I am more excited about meeting everybody in the house. While watching the show, it was a little hard to picture myself in there, but I think I will settle in well once I am there," she said.

Born to Punjabi parents in Ontario, the bisexual girl worked at a bakery before entering the pornography scene. She changed her name for safety.
"Sunny was one of my favourite nicknames. So I changed my name to it for safety reasons, for the fear of what I do. Not that I am scared, but this is just my alter ego and I love my alter ego," she said.
Leone was named Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003 and she also signed a contract with adult video production company Vivid Entertainment. After featuring in several videos and adult films, she was named among 12 top porn stars in 2010 by Maxim magazine.

"I think the very fact that I am showing up on a show like this will make for a jaw-dropping moment for many people inside and outside the house. But I guess it would be interesting to see who knows me and who doesn't in the Bigg Boss house.
"It would be fun to see how the guys react... because when most guys see me, they don't know what to do with themselves," she said nonchalantly.
Nevertheless, she admits: "I am as intimidated about their reactions as anybody would be."
Leone's family moved to the US when she was 13, but the curvaceous beauty can "speak and understand" a bit of Hindi and Punjabi in her 'pardesi' accent.
"Mujhe aati hai thodi bahut Hindi aur Punjabi! (I know a bit of Hindi and Punjabi)," she said, in her jetlagged, tired voice.
While in Bigg Boss 5, Leone wants to do what she loves doing in India -- "eating Indian food".
She also hopes to try her hand at cooking. But even as many await to see what an internationally-known porn star has to offer Indian family audiences, one wonders what all Leone would do to spice up the already spicy show.

Mumbai: Famous porn star Suuny Leone entered Bigg Boss house on Monday to the surprise and probing questions of the house mates.

The California-based XXX queen was brought in a palanquin to the tunes of popular Bollywood number `chaliya chaliya`.

Pooja Bedi was the first to shoot probing questions. "Who are you?" Bedi asked.

Leone replied: "I am an actress and model, I`m from California."

“Where in California” was Bedi`s next poser. A smiling Leone said, "Hollywood...I have done a lot of modelling shows, American TV for over 10 years."

Next to quiz Sunny Leone aka Karen Malhotra was Shonali. She said, "I have seen you... sitting in India.. I have seen you somewhere?"

Leone replied calmly, `May be on the internet.`

Later, when alone, Leone spoke to Bigg Boss by addressing him through a camera.

"I think all house mates like me, but they don`t know who I am. I want them to love me first then they should form an opinion about me... I am a good girl...I want to show everybody that I have a good heart," she said adding that she `wants to have a lot of fun in the Bigg Boss’ house`.

The boys in the house, especially Sky and Siddharth are clearly going gaga over her.

Sky even went to the extent of pleading the housemates to ensure that Leone gets a bed in the bedroom he occupies.

Later while chit chatting with her, Sky said, "Nice having you."

But Siddharth corrected Sky and told him to complete the sentence and say, "Nice having you here!"
